Smokey Joe is a game developed at Bloc for British Heart Foundation. The premise of the game is to warn children about the dangers of cigarette smoking, from health hazards to social and environmental issues and was to be taught in schools to kids during key stage 2 and 3.
The game features a platformer made of different worlds: from the Amazon forest, where the player needs to liberate workers from a tobacco plantation, to school playgrounds and a fashion event.
In each world the player would also collect hints that were needed to answer a quiz. If the quiz had enough answer the player would go to the next level and ultimately defeat the final boss impersonated by a giant corporate robot cowboy.
For this game I developed the physics engine, the character rigging and the stereo sound effects.
